Annual national membership dues are stated on the PCA site. PCA is divided into numbered geographic “Zones.” Each Zone is further divided into local “Regions.” (ex. the state of Arizona is part of Zone 8 and our local Region is SAR – Southern Arizona Region)
Arizona has three regions within Zone 8. They are defined below:
- Arizona Region: Established 1959. Their current territory contains the following counties: All except Cochise, Pima, and Santa Cruz. Their national identification code is AZ.
- Arizona Mountain Region: The newest Arizona Region was carved out of the Arizona Region in 2018. Their territory contains the following counties: Apache, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo, and Yavapai. Their national identification code is AZM.
- Southern Arizona Region: Established in 1967. Per the Zone 8 website, we support Cochise, Pima, and Santa Cruz counties. Per the national’s map, our boundaries include everything from Casa Grande south as well as to the east and western borders of the state. At PCA National we are identified by the code SAZ. We identify ourselves as PCA-SAR. These are not hard and fast rules! Which region you are a member of depends on your personal preference regarding travel to meetings, events, and so forth. You have a choice.
National policy: to be a primary member of a region, you must pay your national dues and identify yourself as a member of the region in which you wish to be a primary member.
Our policy: you may be a SAR secondary member by being a national member and providing your name and membership number via e-mail to membership@pcasar.org . We are not collecting dues but we will check for current national membership.
