PCA-SAR Cinco de Mayo Celebration: Tour & Lunch

Meet Time is 9:00 am at Desert Diamond Casino – 1100 W Pima Mine Rd, Sahuarita, AZ 85629.

The tour length is approximately 75 miles.  Please have a full tank of fuel.

Tour will end at Teresa’s Mosaic Cafe for lunch – 2456 N Silver Mosaic Dr., Tucson, AZ 85745

No registration fee. Separate checks.

This event kicks off the 2023 planning for the renown Southern Arizona Region’s Cinco de Mayo Concours d’Elegance .  Prior to COVID, our Cinco de Mayo Concours event received outstanding mention as one of the premier Porsche Club of America Concours events in the western United States. The PCA-SAR Board of Directors wants to form a committee with a chairperson to start working out the details for this 2023 Zone 8 Concours.  If you would like to join the Cinco committee, please sign up at this lunch or email Pat Norris at president@pcasar.org

PCA-SAR Escape to Douglas & the Slaughter Ranch

April 9-10, 2022 (Overnight Tour)

Take a step back in time as you visit the historic John Slaughter Ranch.  Texas John Slaughter was one of the Southwest’s most beloved characters and most feared lawmen. After a 3-hour drive, we will visit the ranch and have a BYO picnic lunch in the shade as you enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and atmosphere that has been left largely untouched since John Slaughter’s time. (Note: the last 10 miles is a smooth gravel road.) Later that evening, we will enjoy dinner together with tour participants.

Driver’s meeting at 8:30 am with Departure at 9:00 am at Roadrunner Market 16121 S. Houghton Rd. Vail AZ. 85641

Accommodations:  Best Western in Douglas at 520-364-5000. Ask for the Porsche SAR rate of $117.
