Adopt-A-Roadway Event
When:  Saturday, March 18th 7:30 am
Where: Beyond Bread (Ina and Oracle)

For many years our club has been committed to the Adopt-A-Roadway program as a very effective means of demonstrating our continued support to our community. The Adopt-A-Roadway program is part of the nationwide effort of sponsorship designed to help beautify our roadways by facilitating trash removal and saving the taxpayers of Pima County approximately $250 per mile cleaned which translates into thousands of dollars saved. Signage along our portion of Orange Grove Road clearly recognizes PCA-SAR’s sponsorship.

This is a fun and not too strenuous task that will take about two hours of your time and will make you feel good about your participation in helping clean up our community. Please note that while Pima County Health Department currently has no restrictions on public gatherings, if you are at higher risk for severe illness, or if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, stay home.

I expect great Tucson March weather. We will meet at 7:30 AM in Beyond Bread at the southeast corner of Ina Road and Oracle Road for pre-event coffee and pastry, some socializing, and signing waivers. ADOT requires that we wear hard-soled, closed-toe shoes (no sandals) and comfortable clothing. Gloves and hats are recommended. Water, safety vests, grabbers, and bags for the cleanup will be provided. I hope to see you there!

The ORPCA Northwest Passage Team has put together another great driving tour and is offering it again twice in 2023, with fun roads, beautiful scenery, great accommodations, delicious food, and an opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones. From majestic rivers, deep canyons, rolling hills, and mountain roads to vineyards, the 2023 Northwest Passage route takes us again through some of the most scenic and best driving roads in the Northwest. The 2023 tour will visit the Columbia River Gorge, the canyons of the Columbia Plateau, the rolling hills of the Palouse, the Snake River Canyon, the majestic Wallowas, and some wineries of Walla Walla.

We again offer Pre-Registration for each tour:

Pre-Registration opens 12/15/22 at 7 pmThis event is open to PCA Members only
By getting on the pre-registration list, you state your interest in joining the tour, no payment is required for pre-registration
The pre-registration is per car, only the drivers’ data is needed
Select more than one RSVP only if you are coming with family or friends in more than one car
Don’t enter multiple times as identical entries with the same name and email address will be deleted
You will receive an RSVP email confirming you are on the Pre-Registration list
If you want to attend both tours you can pre-register for each tour
Pre-Registration does not guarantee or reserve a spot on the tour, but you have 24 hours ahead of general registration to purchase your ticket
On 1/1/23 at 7 pm, one day before general registration, you will receive an email on a first come – first serve basis with a link that allows you to register, pay and secure your spot
