JANUARY IS ALMOST HERE….AND THAT MEANS IT IS TIME FOR THE SANTA CRUZ VALLEY CAR NUTS 24TH ANNUAL CAR SHOW IN TUBAC, ARIZONA!!

THE CAR SHOW IS SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2018…AND THE SHOW BEGINS AT 10:00 AM, CARS WILL NEED TO BE IN PLACE AND READY TO GO AT THAT TIME. THE EVENT IS HOSTED BY THE TUBAC GOLF RESORT WHO WILL BE OFFERING A SPECIAL SHOW RATE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WISH TO STAY OVERNIGHT, OR LONGER. ROOM RESERVATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED BY 12/30/17 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THIS RATE. THE RESORT LINK IS www.tubacgolfresort.com. THEY ARE OFFERING THE POSADA AT $129 P/NIGHT; A CASITA AT $144 P/NIGHT, AND THE HACIENDA KING AT $164 P/NIGHT *TAX AND RESORT FEE NOT INCLUDED*.

THERE WILL BE A FRIDAY NIGHT BBQ AT TUBAC GOLF RESORT (1/26/18), COST PER PERSON: $24. THIS IS PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY.

Over 25 years ago, PCA-SAR decided to be more than just a bunch of  “wild and crazy guys (gals)” zipping around town in their snazzy cars.  They realized they were a fortunate group who wanted to give back to the community.   Dick Huhn, one of our members, was active sponsoring holiday food baskets.  To this day we honor this tradition of giving back to the community by sponsoring Holiday Food Baskets.

In addition to our usual raffles at the member meetings, or at our Holiday Party, we are asking: “what can $5 buy you?”  When you sip that next $5 cup of Starbucks, think of the many Tucson families in need during the holidays that are not sure from where will their next meal will come?  Some of these families are facing unexpected tragedy and many have children with developmental disabilities!

For each $5 you mail in, your name will be entered in a drawing for a prize yet to be determined.  The winner will be announced ant the Holiday Party but does not need to be present to win.

Last year we donated $2500 for food baskets.  Lets try to do as well again this year!

ADOPT-A-ROADWAY CLEAN-UP

Beyond Bread at the southeast corner of Ina and Oracle Roads, enjoy danish and coffee, compliments of PCASAR!

Please wear hard-soled, closed-toed shoes (no sandals) and comfortable clothing. Please use sunscreen…..gloves and hats recommended.

Note: Cold water, safety vests and bags for the cleanup will be provided. This semi-annual beautification project is not very labor intensive and will only take about two hours of your time. It is a perfect way to get outside on a cooler (YEAH) spring morning and enjoy the camaraderie with your SAR friends and our special cars!
